Welcome to our Self-Care Consultation Sessions

Our Self-Care consultation sessions are designed to provide you with a neutral and objective professional resource. It’s a safe space where you can discuss your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. We are here to assist you in developing a practical and tailored self-care resource that you can refer to whenever life presents you with stressful situations or periods of crisis.

Check-In Time: How Are You Feeling?

Before we dive into the details, let’s take a moment to check in with how you are feeling right now. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the best you have ever felt and 10 being the worst, where would you say you are on this feeling scale? It’s okay to be anywhere on this scale. We all have experienced both the joy of life and times when we have struggled and felt stressed or overwhelmed.

The main thing is that if you are feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed, you have both a system and a support structure in place. Our goal is “Helping Yoa Through Life’s Ripples™.”

How Can Self-Care Sessions Help Me?

Katherine’s Self-Care sessions are designed to provide you with a workable and meaningful tool and support structure to navigate life’s ripples. Whether you are facing everyday stress or a crisis, our sessions aim to provide you with:

  • One-on-one support through self-care consultations
  • Tools to help you identify and implement positive coping strategies
  • A follow-up consultation if you have used Katherine’s Self-Care Workbook or used her Self-Care Card Set
 In short, our Self-Care sessions aim to provide you with:

  • Independent one-on-one time to decompress and find a meaningful way forward
  • A practical and easy-to-apply self-care plan that you can refer to whenever needed
  • Baseline information that you can review, monitor, and update over time
  • An opportunity to explore previously used strategies and their effectiveness
  • A chance to identify positive coping strategies based on your preferences
  • Increased self-awareness, acceptance, and confidence
  • A professional resource to discuss your situation
  • An objective professional resource to guide you towards seeking additional help if needed
  • A chance to discuss your self-care plan outcomes, effectiveness, and modification strategies

What Should I Expect in My Self-Care Consultation Session(s)?

At the commencement of your first session, we will conduct a Self-Care intake session with you. This intake session is designed to:

  • Identify and discuss your session goal(s)
  • Establish your baselines
  • Review your current circumstances and allow you to share your story
  • Collaboratively establish baselines from which self-care strategies, plans, and reviews can be implemented, monitored, and evaluated over time

Subsequent sessions will revolve around talk therapy, the administration and review of appropriate psychometric instrumentation, and the development, implementation, and monitoring of your tailored self-care plan. Our goal is to provide you with a positive and meaningful coping tool for life’s ripples.

How Many Self-Care Consultation Sessions Will I Need?

It is impossible to determine the exact number of sessions you will need at this point. It could be one or two sessions, or several sessions spread out over time. The number of sessions depends on your unique situation, experiences, and goals.

Let’s take a look at a few examples to provide you with a better understanding:

  • If you have purchased Katherine’s Self-Care Workbook, Self-Care Card Set or Self-Care Combination Set and have started using them, but want some help tweaking your plan, a few sessions may be sufficient.
  • If you would like to learn more about Self-Care and how it can help you manage everyday life stressors or periods of crisis, a few sessions can provide you with valuable insights.
  • If you are currently in a highly stressful situation or period of crisis and feel overwhelmed with nowhere to turn, we can work together to determine the number of sessions that will best support you during this time.
