Our Self-Care Consultation Sessions are designed to help you through life’s ripples by providing you with a neutral and objective professional resource in which you can discuss your thoughts, feelings and emotions and in which we can assist you in developing a practical and tailored self-care resource that you can refer to time and again when life presents you with stressful situations or periods of crisis.

So let us take a moment and check in with how you are travelling – right now, at this very moment.

How are you feeling?

On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the best you have ever felt and 10 being the worst, where would you say you are on this feeling scale right now?

Are you a 1, or maybe you are a 10 or somewhere in between both? It is OK.

We all have experienced times in our lives when we have felt the joy of life and also when we have struggled and have felt stressed or overwhelmed.

The main thing is that if you are feeling stressed, anxious, blah, blue, overwhelmed like this is too much or I can’t go on, etc. That you have both a system and a support structure, “Helping You Through Life’s Ripples™.”

How Can Self-Care Sessions Help Me?

Our Self-Care Sessions are designed to provide you with both a workable and meaningful tool and support structure to help you through life’s ripples, be it periods of everyday stress or crisis. 

Be it to provide you with: – 

  • One-on-One Support through a Self-Care Consultation(s)
  • Tools to help you identify and implement positive coping strategies

or

If you have read Katherine’s Self-Care Workbook or used her Self-Care Card Set individually or as part of the Self-Care combination package (Self-Care Workbook and Card Set), a follow-up consultation to help you develop, maintain or review your self-care plan.

In short, our Self-Care Consultation Sessions aim to provide you with one or more of the following outcomes:-

  • Independent one-on-one time to decompress and find a meaningful way forward
  • A practical and easy to apply Self-Care plan that you can refer to time and again 
  • Baseline information that you can review, monitor and update over time
  • Opportunity to explore previously used strategies and their effectiveness
  • Chance to identify positive coping strategies based on your preferences
  • Increased self-awareness, acceptance and confidence
  • A professional resource to discuss your situation
  • An objective professional resource to say, “Hey, maybe it’s time to seek additional help.”
  • Chance to discuss your self-care plan outcomes, effectiveness and modification strategies

Or

  • Your self-nominated outcome based on your session(s) goals and one’s area of expertise
What Should I Expect In My Self-Care Consultation Session(s)?

At the commencement of your first session, we will conduct a Self-Care Intake session with you. The intake session is designed to provide you with the opportunity to:- 

  • Identify and discuss your session goal(s)
  • Establish your baselines
  • Review your current circumstances in other words to tell your story (narrative); and
  • Collaboratively establish baselines from which Self-Care strategies, plans and reviews can be implemented, monitored and evaluated over time to determine their effectiveness and tweak if and when appropriate.

Subsequent sessions will revolve around talk therapy, the administration and review of appropriate psychometric instrumentation, e.g. DASS 21 and Coping Scales in accordance with our area of expertise, clearances, ethics and codes of conduct; developing, implementing and monitoring your tailored self-care plan that you can refer to and engage with time and again – thus,  providing you with a positive and meaningful coping tool for life’s ripples.

How Many Self-Care Consultation Sessions Will I Need?

It is impossible to say at this point; maybe it’s one or two sessions or several sessions spread out over time. It depends on your unique situation, experiences and goals.

Let’s take a quick look at a few examples to explain our response a little more; maybe you:- 

  1. Purchased Katherine’s Self-Care Workbook and Self-Care Card Set and have started using the product and commenced developing your own plan, but want some help tweaking it
  2. Would like to learn more about Self-Care and how this concept can help you manage everyday life stressors and or periods of crisis
  3. Are currently in a highly stressful situation or period of crisis and feel overwhelmed with nowhere to turn? As such, you find yourself questioning everything.
  4. Are been highly critical of yourself, questioning how do I go on like this and or what did I do last time to help me through a similar situation – why can’t I remember?
