Katherine is a nationally registered Career Education and Development Specialist (CDAA), Counsellor (ACA), and published Self-Care Author, as well as a student member of ASORC. She is currently pursuing a Master of Rehabilitation Counselling at Griffith University, reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional development and deepening her integrative and trauma-informed practices.

Counselling, Career, Self-Care Expertise
Practical support and expert guidance to navigate change and build confidencePrior to launching her private practice, HR Aspects, in 2003, Katherine gained extensive experience across human resources and administrative functions, including recruitment, training, HRIS management, payroll, internal and external reporting, workplace health and safety, employee support, and workers’ compensation.
Following the completion of her Diploma in Professional Counselling (majors in Abuse, Career, Workplace, Grief and Loss), Katherine rebranded her practice to Blu Ripples in 2009, reflecting the integration of counselling into her professional services.
Drawing on her qualifications in Career Education and Development, Counselling, Business (Human Resources), and Small Business Management, along with her accreditations and certifications in psychometric assessment, including Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Professional Accreditation Program (MBTI), Katherine brings an integrative, person-centred, and trauma-informed approach to her work.
Her background also includes a voluntary tenure as a NSW CDAA Committee Member (2015–2017) and a deep commitment to ongoing professional development; currently pursuing a Master of Rehabilitation Counselling at Griffith University.
Through her qualifications, lived and professional experience spanning career consulting, HR consultancy, career counselling, and personal counselling, Katherine blends counselling, career development, and self-care to deliver practical strategies that promote emotional wellbeing, proactive reflection, and personal growth. She helps clients navigate life’s challenges and transitions, explore strengths, build confidence, and achieve meaningful goals with clarity and resilience.
Katherine’s recent achievements include the Self-Care—Awareness, Action, and Planning Workbook and Card Set (2023), peer-reviewed by Dr Gaye Cameron (2025) and featured in ACA Counselling Australia Magazine. She also authored the industry article “Prioritising Self-Care: A Framework For Career Development Specialists” (2025), published on the CDAA Career Panorama platform. Additionally, Katherine was invited to participate in a career-change interview on ABC Radio Hobart (2020) with Louise Saunders, following her article “Should I Apply For Jobs Now or Wait Until the Coronavirus Runs its Course”, highlighting her expertise in career counselling, career development, integrative counselling, and self-care.
