At Blu Ripples, we offer Career Counselling and Consulting Services via the Partner Employment Assistance Program (PEAP), specifically designed to support partners of Defence personnel.

Conveniently located just a 10-minute drive from Newcastle Airport and RAAF Base Williamtown in the Port Stephens–Newcastle NSW region, our PEAP services are available face-to-face in Medowie, as well as via online or telephone consultations, providing flexible support regardless of your location.

Our PEAP services support you to commence or re-establish your career, clarify goals, and navigate the job search process following your partner’s relocation, in line with Defence guidelines. We understand the unique career disruptions that can come with defence life and work alongside you to create meaningful, practical, and achievable pathways forward.

We offer a range of tailored services and resources aligned with your individual goals and circumstances, and Defence’s PEAP guidelines.

How Do I Access PEAP Services?

As an eligible partner of an Australian Defence Force (ADF) member, you may access up to $1,500 per posting in professional employment services through the Partner Employment Assistance Program (PEAP). These services are designed to support you in sourcing meaningful employment opportunities and are delivered in accordance with PEAP guidelines (link below).

How To Proceed

9 Simple steps to access PEAP services

If you are the partner of an Australian Defence Force (ADF) member and meet the eligibility criteria for the Partner Employment Assistance Program (PEAP), simply follow the steps below to access our career counselling and employment support services.

Step 1.

Determine your Eligibility with the Defence

Step 2.

Review Partner Employment Program Guidelines

Step 3.

Decide which service or combination of services you would like to apply for (Provider of Choice Option)

Step 4.

Determine your funding limit with the Defence

Step 5.

Contact Blu Ripples to discuss your needs, timeframe and appointment preference

Step 6.

Blu Ripples will prepare and send you a copy of the Service Level Agreement (SLA) which you will Submit to Defence with your Application form

Step 7.

Submit your SLA to Defence along with your PEAP Application

Step 8.

Upon Defence authorisation, please contact us to schedule your Defence Approved Services.

Step 9.

Attend your first session in accordance with your approved PEAP Services

Blu Ripples has been providing PEAP employment and career services to partners of ADF personnel since 2018. Katherine has assisted numerous participants accessing a wide range of career services, including resume, selection criteria and employment cover letter writing, career interest surveys, key transferable skills, psychometric profiling (testing) (MBTI/Majors PTi and JVIS) employment options and placement advice, job search strategies.

Over time, our range of services has evolved to meet the changing needs of Defence partners, while remaining focused on delivering professional, personalised employment assistance and career support in line with the PEAP guidelines.
