Psychometric Profiling Update:
Service Changes and Future Directions
With the recent and permanent closure of a key Australian psychometric provider platform, Blu Ripples is pleased to announce that we have successfully sourced and secured three new international psychometric providers who have taken over the distribution of several ACER Education instruments, including a range of Aptitude Assessments. In other cases, Blu Ripples is now registered directly with the primary producers themselves; for example, we are now directly accredited with the developers of the Workplace Personality Index.
As part of this transition, our qualifications and accreditations were formally reviewed and verified by each new provider. Based on this process, updated accreditation levels and categories have been assigned. This ensures Blu Ripples remains fully compliant and appropriately credentialed to administer and interpret the transferred instruments.
The positive outcome of this redevelopment is twofold:-
We will retain access to certain psychometric tools formerly managed by ACER Education.
Our psychometric service range will expand across 2026 as new assessments distributed by our new partners are explored and implemented by Blu Ripples.
Temporary Disruptions and Tool Availability
As with all change, some disruption is inevitable. A number of instruments previously purchased via ACER Education will be affected:
Temporarily unavailable:
Assessments such as the Coping Scales instruments are currently on hold while the author, whom we have contacted, secures a new distributor. No longer available for use:
Instruments, including the Applied Reading Tests and the Test of Employment Entry Mathematics (TEEM), will be discontinued from our service suite.
What This Means Moving Forward
Over the short to medium term, Blu Ripples will be undertaking several key initiatives:
Exploring new psychometric instrumentation now available through our international suppliers
Updating our Psychometric Profiling Services webpages (this process has already commenced)
Reviewing and refreshing our existing products, such as the Career Development Report and Career Interest Foundation Report, including content updates and revised fee structures
Implementing additional new tools throughout 2026, both in response to this industry shift and in alignment with the anticipated completion of postgraduate studies (mid-2026)
Blu Ripples remains committed to delivering high-quality psychometric services, career planning and reporting services. We appreciate your patience as we navigate this system transition and integrate new assessment options into our practice. We will continue to share updates through our blog as further developments arise.
In the meantime, if you have any questions regarding our psychometric profiling services, career plans and reports, or the changes outlined above, please feel free to contact Katherine Foster, who will respond within her professional capacity and expertise.
